Volunteer Opportunities

Master Gardener Volunteers

Each year University of Wisconsin Master Gardener Volunteers (MGV) contribute hundreds of hours to their communities in horticulture education, beautification and support services.  To retain our certification each master gardener volunteer is required to volunteer a minimum or 24 hours per year to their communities.

This page lists some of the opportunities for volunteering on an ongoing basis. Master Gardener volunteers also identify areas of need in their own communities.

  • Webster School Garden, Summer Help Request:  volunteer opportunities for watering, weeding, or harvesting the school garden this summer.    The garden is located on the northeast side of the Webster Elementary School in Webster.   We keep a log book in the "mailbox" by the shed with pertinent info i.e. watering, layout, what has been done.  Even if you don't want to commit to a specific day or time, weeding is always appreciated!  Please also take produce with you.  We try to use produce during summer school which is June 12-23 but otherwise, volunteers or the Food Shelf gets it.  If you have any questions or comments, please contact Erin L. Fox, MGV by e-mail or phone.  [email protected]   715-656-3058 or 715-371-0470
