A Great Book on Native Grasses

The University of Minnesota Extension service has published Gardening with Native Grasses in Cold Climates online and is offering free access! What a great way to while away these long winter months! 

Here is a link that will take you directly to the first chapter Introduction to Grasses. Notice the Contents drop down on the left of the title banner, click on the word Contents to link to these chapters:

Thank you! for featuring this book.
I am very interested in grasses and how to incorporate them in my yard and garden.
I have Piet Oudolf on my bookshelves and this will contextualize habitat for me.

Visit the Teaching & Display Gardens

The Teaching and Display Gardens  are a joint effort between the Spooner Agriculture Research Station, operated by the University of Wisconsin - Madison College of Agriculture and Life Science, the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension and area UW-Extension Master Gardener Volunteers.  

Open to the public for self-guided tours during day light hours seven days a week mid-May through mid-September.
